There are also business-specific opportunities available, which may be included in the description below.     Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Peacock Business & Legal Affairs: The Peacock Business & Legal Affairs team consists of approximately 25 lawyers, paralegals and professional staff. The team is divided into three main areas: (1) Product & Technology, (2) Marketing & Partnerships, and (3) Regulatory & Compliance. This intern will support the legal teams as needed on a variety of projects and will report to senior lawyers in each area. This may include preparing summaries and self-help tools, preparing draft agreements based on a template, and observing deal negotiations and attorney-client interactions. Legal NBCU News Group: The NBCUniversal News Group Media Law team supports a vast portfolio of NBC News brands. We empower journalists to publish as much fair and accurate information in the public interest as possible by providing newsgathering advice, pre-publication and pre-broadcast review, and newsroom training. We also prepare and negotiate media law agreements (e.g. releases, location agreements), assist with rights management across platforms, support tentpole events (e.g. elections, Olympics), advise on subpoenas, and partner with the Litigation team. News Group interns will assist in all of these areas, with a focus on researching defamation, privacy, IP, newsgathering, access, privilege and regulatory questions.
