Telemundo 48's News Internship provides students with real world experience and exposure to working in a top ten television market and in a high-energy newsroom. Interns may gain experience on the Assignment Desk, writing/producing, and/or with working on our digital platforms. Successful interns will demonstrate a passion for learning and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. We are looking for students who are highly motivated and who can function as a team member or independently in a fast-paced news environment.

The General Assignment News Reporter will be responsible for newsgathering and reporting for broadcast, streaming, digital, and other multi-platform applications. Essential Responsibilities: Cover all news stories as assigned and report the facts on station’s news programs, streaming channels, website and /or other multi-platform and digital properties. Cover news stories with depth, fairness and accuracy, upholding journalistic ethics, NBC News standards and company policies. Conduct live interviews.

“What would you say you do here?” Works closely with CG Supervisor and Lead Lighter to achieve the visual target for assigned shots and address all lighting notes. Optimizes shots for rendering. Works well with others and fosters a good working atmosphere. Troubleshoots creative and technical issues as they arise. Responsible for taking shots to completion. As needed, organizes and documents any lighting tools, scripts, or processes. Collaborates with other departments for timely integration of elements into assigned shots.

We are looking for a reliable maintenance manager to oversee critical infrastructure response. The ideal candidate will understand mechanical and technical work with sound leadership and managerial skills. You will oversee a team of technicians, track work orders and corrective repair performance, and focus on client communication service.
