Director, Production & Operations, Unscripted Lifestyle

The Director, Production & Operations, Unscripted Lifestyle will assist in the management of development and current original content across the NBCU Unscripted Lifestyle Portfolio. Responsibilities Assess Third Party Production Companies’ production plans and schedules, to ensure that Network needs are met, as they relate to creative, technical, legal, costs, and timelines Review and negotiate budgets – series, specials, development reels, pilots, additional episodes, breakage, etc. Oversee and maintain relationships with Third Party Production Companies through prep, shoot, and delivery Manage and solve day-to-day production issues for multiple projects in a quick, timely manner Ensure all deliverables are complete and on-time for all linear and streaming platforms Review and monitor weekly cost reports for assigned projects Present and explain Network guidelines including prep, production, and post-production requirements to all 3rd party production companies Facilitate internal review of foreign production plans to ensure security and compliance requirements are met Liaise between Third Party Production Companies and all internal departments including Creative Executives, Business Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Digital, Network Operations, etc. Liaise with Finance to Review/Approve cash flow payment schedules and invoicing for assigned series Work in coordination with the P&O Production Managers and Coordinators on assigned projects. Support any requests from the EVP, SVP, & VPs of Prod Ops and other projects and duties as assigned
