NBC News Daily is looking for an emerging journalist who has solid news judgement and is passionate about story telling. This person will be a part of a team that covers big news stories of the day and breaking news coverage. Responsibilities: This person will be responsible for covering live sporting events of all local, professional and sports teams or related local sports stories. Candidate is responsible for producing, writing, shooting and editing his own stories and segments. This person will be responsible for keeping up to date on current events in the world of sports. The Sports Anchor/Reporter will also be expected to participate in community events and station activities from time to time as master of ceremonies and/or Host as requested by the Station.

General Responsibilities: KXTX is currently seeking a content producer who will work closely with producers, assignment desk editors, anchors and reporters to produce news content for broadcast and all digital platforms including social media. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and in some cases video recording material. Additionally, provide fill in for line producers.

Build rundowns (automated or non-automated) for all broadcasts, PSA’s, commercials, etc. Operates control room computer and automation, which includes the creation and utilization of templates to automate production functions including: technical directing, audio mixing, robotics operations, commercial integration, live/remote segment cut-ins, video file playback, graphics insertion and switching.

As a Booking Associate Producer, you will work as part of NBC News’ Booking and Editorial Unit, on the News and Politics team, responsible for booking guests across all platforms of NBC News, including TODAY, Weekend TODAY, Nightly News, Weekend Nightly News, Meet the Press, Dateline, Specials, as well as our streaming network NBC News NOW and all digital platforms. Please note: This job is a Sunday to Thursday schedule. Schedules will vary but must be able to work all shifts, including overnights.
