The editorial lawyers work closely with journalists and editorial leadership to provide timely, practical, and strategic advice in support of our journalism and growing news business. Based in Miami, Telemundo produces and distributes premium Spanish-language news content to U.S. Hispanics and audiences around the world. Its flagship nightly news program is Noticias Telemundo. Telemundo Stations Group consists of 30 local television stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Role Purpose: The Sr. Counsel, Intellectual Property within the Brands and Content IP team will provide strategic legal guidance and oversight on IP issues arising from content production, brand development and global expansion initiatives. They will serve as a key advisor to senior business leaders and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to protect and enhance NBCUniversal’s IP assets.

The team builds applications to support our internal legal intellectual property partners as well as platform operations on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook. The applications help monitor NBCUniversal titles across search engines, data sharing networks and various content delivery pipelines. The data is collected by the team and analyzed internally to support business-decision driving initiatives at the company.
