This intern will gain valuable knowledge of the music creative, production, and administrative aspects of music for film/television. They will be responsible for assisting various members of the team with administrative duties, downloading and categorizing new music submissions, and miscellaneous tasks as needed.

"What would you say you do here?” Gain knowledge on the role of the Training Department in the studio and an understanding of the training workflow for TV, Overhead, and Feature Departments (Animation, Effects, Surfacing, Matte Painting, etc). Supervise virtual, hybrid, and onsite classes, track attendance, including data entry and Excel database maintenance, and record various classes with screen capture software. Edit recorded classes in Adobe Premiere. Tackle administrative tasks and design posters to promote training classes as needed.

"What would you say you do here?” Observe and assist Technical Directors with writing tools for the production pipeline Craft and develop new software tools and applications to assist artists in large-scale feature animation productions Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems Provide technical support to production artists Provide support for any additional administrative and data-wrangling tasks as needed

“What would you say you do here?” The Hair Global Development Group is responsible for Hair Template, Workflow and Tool Ownership across departments and shows. This group establishes consistency, efficiency, ownership, and support in the grooming and simulation process. The goal of the Hair Global Developer internship will be to introduce candidates to the studio setting and involve them in development of tools for hair, fur and feathers across production on DreamWorks feature films.

“What would you say you do here?” The Character Effects department at DreamWorks Animation is responsible for both the set up and shot simulation of cloth, fur, hair, foliage, feathers, props, and other simulations as necessary on various projects. The Character Effects Production Development team oversees and maintains the common CFX workflows and tools used by all productions, with members specializing in artistry, engineering, and pipeline.

“What would you say you do here?” Support recruitment team through job posting, interview scheduling, onboarding, event planning, organizing university visits, etc. Assist in Early Career Program events facilitation (intern/trainee events, orientations, socials, final presentations, etc.). Create flyers and handouts for school visits, Intern events, etc. Curate social media content to tell stories and build our audience through DreamWorks Careers social media channels Provide candidates with a positive interview experience by communicating interview details to candidates.

“What would you say you do here?” Works closely with CG Supervisor and Lead Lighter to achieve the visual target for assigned shots or lighting tasks and address all lighting notes. Responsible for taking shots to completion. Works well with others and fosters a good working atmosphere. Troubleshoots creative and technical issues as they arise. As needed, organizes and documents any lighting tools, scripts, or processes. Collaborates with other departments for timely integration of elements into assigned shots. Manages individual shot load based on the schedule to meet timelines.
