Here at NBCU, we strive to be on the forefront of leading-edge technology and are seeking a savvy troop of technologists we call Media Tech Interns. Our program exposes students to technical opportunities across NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology organizations and serves as a main pipeline into our Rotational Associate Programs. As a NBCUniversal Media Tech Intern, you will gain hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical situations. We offer a 2 day in-person orientation in our NY office where we bring all interns together to meet each other and various business leaders. Students will experience firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world operates and delivers strategic, innovative solutions. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Media Operations – Onboarding & Support: Our is responsible for the upgrading and maintenance of our supply tools and profiles. Seth has a team of Media Operations Managers who each take on daily support and building of video profiles, work with clients, engineering, program operations and product. The team also has high profile projects we work on together such as On-Prem to cloud infrastructure migration, our Mediator Encoding MAM to Cloud Pipelines, upgrading our Vantage Encoding platform to the latest versions in 8.x. The team is at the forefront of technological builds related to our content supply chain and digital pipelines. We support the onboarding of both inbound and outbound profiles that supply our internal and external clients with various formats of video, audio, subtitles, audio dubs, metadata files, and more. We not only breakdown technical specifications but we use tools such as Salesforce Profile and order management, Iris Quality Control, Telestream Vantage, Etlworks for Metadata manipulations. The intern will learn about how we get our exciting episodic and feature content from production companies all around the world, how we validate and hold our technical requirements
