Job Description As part of the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) Brand Marketing group, the Catalog Brand Marketing team is responsible for monetizing Universal's vast library of films on digital and physical formats globally, while collaborating with other groups across NBCUniversal. The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for providing valuable support managing tasks and projects and helping the team achieve organizational goals. The Assistant Brand Manager is also responsible for managing certain product releases and campaigns. Working with the Senior Brand Manager, you’ll be the champion for catalog projects across the organization and with internal partners, including digital marketing, creative marketing, legal, sales, finance, operations, and more. Your main goal is to maximize the profitability of each release, while ensuring stakeholder needs are met. You will also own various ongoing processes and meetings to support the operations of the team. This is a dynamic, challenging role with great visibility across the organization and exceptional learning opportunities. Responsibilities The Assistant Brand Manager day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Marketing / Strategy Execute marketing plans and products and submit creative asset requests. Create campaign P&Ls to pass greenlight and ensure profitability. Collaborate on strategic creative direction for products and marketing campaigns. Pitch catalog priorities and projects in various venues, from informal team calls to retailer presentations to large-scale sales meetings. Create and distribute sales sheets and PowerPoint slides. Consistently seek opportunities to maximize the Universal film library with new ideas to support key anniversaries, theatrical drafting, seasonal, new to format, etc. across both digital and physical formats. Product Development / Project Management Maintain project deadlines, discuss upcoming milestones, and communicate updates as needed. Ensure all teams are executing smoothly/on schedule with support from the Senior Brand Manager. Gather information and feedback from cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, perform analyses, and develop sales goals. Ensure that all project/creative materials are executed according to strategy and are approved in a timely manner. Collaborate with teams to ensure their individual needs are met. This applies to 3 distinct parts of our business – Digital Distribution, Studio Distribution Services (a joint venture that supports our domestic physical business) and International. Examples include regular calls, bi-annual presentations, resources/documents, and more. Set up and maintain projects in UPHE systems. Work with cross-functional teams to create item numbers, component numbers, project codes, etc. Ensure that legal rights are documented. Timely responses to all email and Microsoft Teams communications from cross functional team members. Reporting & Analysis Produce recaps, compile key learnings, conduct appropriate post-analyses, and report out to the wider organization. Monitor competitive landscape to understand what other studios are doing across all formats globally and sharing out best practices and key learnings.
