Analyst, Payroll
The Payroll Analyst plays a critical role in the administration, analysis, and reconciliation of pension, health, welfare, annuity, dues, and 401(k) contributions for NBCUniversal (NBCU) employees covered under more than 120 collective bargaining agreements. Reporting to the Manager, Pension Health & Welfare, this position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of remittances, preparing detailed contribution reports, conducting reconciliations and audits, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and resolving inquiries from internal and external business partners. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced payroll environment while maintaining compliance with union agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administer and support the timely filing and payment of union dues, guild contributions, pension, health and welfare contributions, and payments to third-party vendors. Research, analyze, and resolve pension, health and welfare inquiries from guilds, unions, vendors, and internal business partners. Ensure compliance with pension, health and welfare plan requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable regulations. Prepare, analyze, and distribute reports for union populations as requested by external partners and internal stakeholders. Perform audits and reconciliations of PH&W remittances and identify, research, and resolve discrepancies. Analyze and balance union dues and PH&W contribution reports for assigned unions. Support payroll-related projects, system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives. Develop an understanding of NBCU labor agreements and union organizations to provide effective support and value-added solutions. Partner with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Sports, News, and other business units to facilitate audits and ensure accurate reporting. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies within union payroll operations. Assist management with enterprise risk assessments, internal control activities, and annual union audit planning. Maintain detailed documentation, audit support files, and standardized operating procedures. Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and reporting requests as assigned.
