Specialist Food Quality Control & Safety
Summary This position is responsible for providing support to our venues, both directly and through assisting in the development and maintenance of materials, systems, and programs to promote Food Safety and Quality Assurance in venues and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Perform onsite food safety assessments and work with team members to improve food safety outcomes Work with training department to create new food safety training materials and rollout to appropriate team members Conduct food safety training for new and promoted team members Maintain health department inspection data to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Escalate critical findings to the food safety team and Operations for immediate action Maintain strong working relationships with key regulators Partner with Sourcing team to ensure accurate record keeping from vendors Organize and maintain department records Report on key metrics Partner with Training Department and oversee the ServSafe certification process Support Food Safety Team with internal projects Conduct basic nutritional information research Assist in development & monitoring of Allergen Program Organize and provide food venues with most up to date information regarding allergens, menu revisions and new products Promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement for all food safety related activities and programs Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve any critical issues impacting the business Completion of assigned projects to meet department goals and objectives Morning FDC Quality Assurance Receiving – Work with team on Quality Checks of incoming product UHU support – Conduct on site inspections for UHU as needed. Procedure & policy development including food safety, sanitation, allergen & HAACP programs. Staff Training – Support training in the food & classroom as needed for food safety to management & hourly Team members Audits & Inspections – perform regular scheduled & unannounced inspections to ensure standards are being met. Regulatory compliance & incident investigation conduct as needed and track to identify trends. Data Analysis & Record Keeping of venue audits, guest comments, investigations, etc. pertaining to food safety & product quality Perform other duties as assigned.
