Assistant Manager Retail Warehouse

The Assistant Manager of the Retail Warehouse plays a vital role in making this happen by ensuring that retail merchandise flows seamlessly, efficiently, and accurately from the Warehouse to retail venues. This ensures stores are fully stocked and ready to enhance our guests’ experience. This position oversees multiple Retail Warehouse operations and collaborates with other departments to achieve business objectives. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain SOPs across all warehouse departments, including freight coordination, receiving, equipment management, pulling, shipping, night operations, and supplemental processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, B-192 union agreements, and all applicable legal regulations. Monitor inventory control systems for accuracy; Investigate and resolve discrepancies through process review and reconciliation. Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities. Communicate repair needs and requisitions for equipment replacement to appropriate teams. Promote a safety-first culture through proactive communication, training, audits, and collaboration with the Health and Safety team. Ensure timely completion of accident investigations and resolution of safety concerns. Assist in preparing and managing the annual budget; monitor weekly schedules, supply expenses, and time punch variances, addressing discrepancies promptly. Set and track productivity targets across departments; provide ongoing training and performance feedback to ensure objectives are met. Foster team member satisfaction through daily pre-shift meetings, recognition programs, team-building events, quarterly awards, and regular departmental updates. Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal management, Orlando support teams, and other Universal Studios Hollywood departments. Produce and distribute operational reports and statistics (daily, weekly, monthly). Supervise and manage warehouse team members, including equipment operators, leads, freight coordinators, and supervisors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Maintain attendance and performance logs, address performance or behavioral issues through effective communication and corrective action. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
