HR Manager
Role Overview The HR Manager is a true business partner to the NBCUniversal businesses. This role drives the local HR agenda with both a people centric and commercial mind-set, aimed at driving the business forward. All aspects of the employee life cycle are touched upon and the best employee experience is pursued. The incumbent will interpret and provide input against needs to identify, plan and deliver critical initiatives to align with regional strategies. To be successful in the role it is essential to establish strong and trusted partnerships with business leaders, HR leaders and centralized specialist functions. This role will support both our International TV Distribution (headquartered in the UK) and Home Entertainment teams and leadership. While based in the UK, these business units are aligned with the Filmed Entertainment Group headquarters in Los Angeles. Key Responsibilities HR Programs and Business partnering Be an effective Business Partner for both TVD and UK UPHE Leaders, acting as a sounding board and change agent to drive and implement the desired behavioural and organizational changes dvise during annual budget cycle on overhead impact (i.e. costs for HC, recruitment, promotions, market adjustments, consultancy fees etc.) Responsible for HR projects, programs and initiatives across TVD and UK UPHE businesses and ensure compliance as well as deliver quick solutions to fit local needs Provide expertise, with the ability to act strategically and operationally across all HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, reward, employee engagement and organizational design and change Talent Management & Acquisition Lead local talent management programs including the Talent Review and Performance feedback process, by coaching managers, providing advice and support whilst contributing to building a culture of continuous development and feedback Responsible for end-to-end sourcing of the best talent and creating a talent pipeline; driving and supporting the recruiting, testing, and interviewing programs in cooperation with the internal Talent Team Work with managers to maintain organizational structures by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions Compensation and Benefits Implement C&B initiatives and lead the implementation of the annual salary review process in line with guidelines and in connection with performance Learning & Development Analyse training needs against business strategy and employee skill gaps, playing a proactive role in defining and ensuring the delivery of training initiatives Actively support talent development and employee engagement projects, ensuring the completion of the Annual Talent review process Actively support and guide on wellbeing initiatives and projects Work with local DEI leadership team to ensure DEI is embedded into the business culture and provide guidance on HR related initiatives Employee Relations & Policies Support a culture of trust, promoting open & honest communication. Train and coach managers and employees on best practices and adhering to company values Be a trusted partner for managers and employees in addressing and handling ‘difficult conversations’ and mediate where appropriate to achieve mutual understanding and an enjoyable work environment Be proactive and anticipate change, providing critical and timely input about consequences and implications of local law to all internal stakeholders Support and train managers to coach their team and take disciplinary actions if needed; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors Conduct investigations, be responsible for maintaining records and representing the organization at hearings if and where needed HR Transactional Activities Oversee a flawless execution of payroll and HR administration activities
