Production Planner
The Production Planner is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of manufacturing operations, from scheduling and coordination to performance evaluation and continuous improvement. The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules, budgets, aligning cross-functional teams, and optimizing resources to meet delivery timelines. Successful candidates will analyze specifications and capacity data to design efficient manufacturing sequences, prepare job plans and routing documents, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities: Develops and maintains detailed production schedules based on job orders, material availability, and shop capacity. Coordinates with different departments like operations, inventory and logistics to plan and adjust production needs. Analyzes production specifications, customer requirements, and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing process sequences. Prepares production and inspection job plans and routing documents. Monitors and adjust production schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports and presents them to management. Coordinates with suppliers to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available when needed. Ensures that the production process follows industry standards and safety regulations. Oversees inventory management and order materials and services as needed. Evaluates production performance and recommends improvements. Supports job planning for annual rehabs as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
