Director, Finance

The Universal Film Group FP&A team is hiring a Director of Finance, responsible for leading the consolidation, analysis, and forecasting of global P&L for the entire Film Group. The role is in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with senior executives and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the consolidation & analysis of the Film Group’s global P&L forecasting routines (budget, quarterly estimates, and monthly pacings), and communicate results to Film, Studios, and NBCUniversal leadership. Lead creation of insightful analyses, reports, and presentations on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior executives to influence decision-making Provide thoughtful quantitative and qualitative analysis during quarter close & budget/forecast cycles. Leverage film financial database system to build robust analytical tools to support and continuously improve FP&A pacing process. Lead collaboration and communication with finance teams across the 11 Film business units to ensure coordinated processes and timely FP&A reporting. Manage the Film Cost / Participations and Residuals amortization process and work closely with the Film HQ Controllership Team during monthly and quarterly close. Lead Film Library forecasting for Long Range Plan. Oversee FP&A’s financial calendar; coordinate and manage timelines to meet deadlines. Support Senior Film and Studios Management in preparing monthly/quarterly business update presentations to Film Group & NBCU Senior Management Teams. Support administration of the film financial database system. Lead ad-hoc projects as needed. Manage team of 2 (1 Manager and 1 Analyst) Desired Characteristics: Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Inquisitive and able to think through interdependencies of processes Proactive approach to problem solving Strong work ethic and follow through Detail oriented and strong organizational skills Leadership skills to guide, influence, and coordinate multiple business units by building strong working partnerships Ability to operate and communicate effectively across diverse cultural and business environments through strong interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines Ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations Advanced knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, advanced spreadsheets; experience with VBA, macros, data visualization preferred
