Programme Eligibility To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria: You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2028 You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship Additionally, you must also: Be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 5th July 2027 – Friday 21st July 2028 Be able to work in NBCUniversal's Central London office on-site four days per week We recommend applying to just one internship role, this helps ensure your application is considered for the opportunity that best matches your interests and skills. Monitoring political and legislative developments in the UK relating to the film and TV industry Tracking political and policy developments beyond the UK (in the EU and rest of world as necessary) Recording and keeping track of business operations in countries around the world Drafting and editing PowerPoint presentations, position papers, consultation responses Identifying opportunities to influence public policy matters relating to the company and its sector Liaising with internal colleagues, the public policy team at Sky and other industry participants Representing the company in public meetings/discussions (under supervision) What will I learn from this opportunity? Detailed understanding of the work of a Government Relations/Public Policy team Familiarity with a growing commercial sector (creative industries) at an exciting time in its policy development Experience of reviewing and drafting submissions, letters, policy papers and presentations to be used in advocacy to Government and Parliament Structures of government and regulation elsewhere in the world and the impact of geo-political trends on their development
