VP, Global Procurement
The Position The Vice President, Global Procurement for Technology, will be a part of lean and critical function of Versant called Global Procurement and will lead Strategic Sourcing activities related to technology. This includes but is not limited to Hardware, Software, Cloud, AI, Telecom, and IT Professional Services. This leader will build relationships with the technology teams across all cable entities and digital assets, in partnership, to deliver innovative solutions that drive efficiency at scale across Versant and pursue the company’s global sourcing objectives and initiatives. This is an extraordinary leadership opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic leader with demonstrated procurement experience in managing complex projects. This position requires a strong knowledge of executing transformational leadership in a high growth and fast paced organization. This individual must have the ability to excel in a highly matrixed environment, efficiently define strategies and execute towards results with focus and a sense of urgency. This leader will be expected to drive value and be held accountable to the Technology Procurement goals of Versant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overall Leadership: Serve as an energetic, hands-on, and decisive leader and trusted advisor while maintaining a high-level view. A curious thinker who is positive and a motivated team player with a participative management style that looks to include and teach others. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within Global Procurement and Versant. Lead by example and take ownership and accountability for projects and executes using operational best practices. Create an environment in which performance excellence is fostered and develop a culture that supports change efforts and fresh perspectives. Negotiation and Contracting, Business Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management and Category Management. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute deal/ category strategies in conjunction with stakeholders and rapidly resolve issues across multiple deals and categories simultaneously. This includes making logical and sound recommendations despite ambiguities and uncertainties. Identify cost-saving opportunities and establish supplier relationships to achieve favorable terms and pricing. Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Own relationships with executive stakeholders, be a trusted advisor for all sourcing matters within the construction and facilities towers. Strong leadership capability with proven ability to establish, maintain and influence stakeholders at senior levels. Develop alignment with the wider business and stakeholders to actively get involved in demand management initiatives, deliver optimal value by focusing on outcomes and delivering on cost savings opportunities. Operational Excellence: Be forward thinking and solutions focused. This includes the ability to anticipate problems, recognizing the broader implication of issues, awareness of internal/external factors and develop responses/solutions to proactively address such situations. There should be a high level of transparency into the work that is being done by and across the team, whether in negotiation & contracting, category management, business relationship management, and deal approvals Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions. Present commercial related reports and solutions to senior management and key business partners
