Financial Analyst – Commercial FP&A
The Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Financial Analyst will help to support the forecasting, reporting and analysis of the digital & physical lines of businesses within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The Analyst will play an important role in title level forecasting & budgeting, weekly/bi-weekly reporting, monthly financial pacing, and various quarterly and annual financial reviews. Attention to detail is important as the reporting our team generates is distributed across several teams within UPHE as well as other business units we work closely with. This position will report to the Director of Commercial FP&A, supporting the Commercial & Analytics team and will work closely with Brand, Global FP&A and Film HQ. Responsibilities: Manage digital and physical New Release financial estimates for Focus Features and UPHE distribution partners Partner with Analytics, Brand Marketing, Digital Distribution, and Global FP&A to create and lead Greenlight & Pre-Release ultimates through the UPHE Executive Management approval process Prepare and distribute bi-weekly Competitive Title Tracking update, as well as analyze and share insights/trends Assist with monthly pacing forecast process for new release titles; help to consolidate and upload financial data to studio Film Headquarters Assist in quarterly toolkit and annual deep dive review of title ultimates Develop P&L and ultimates reporting for all distribution partner releases across digital and physical platforms Manage financial models to accurately reflect financial planning and analysis activities while maintaining tight communication with cross functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, Controllership, and Retail Planning Support the Senior Management Team with ad-hoc data and financial analysis requests Work with the team to drive business process improvements across the group Build effective business partner relationships with internal stakeholders Present updates to a wide variety of interested parties, tailoring the message to fit the needs of the audience
