Graphic Design & Creative Internships – Academic Year

Academic Year Internship Program Details Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027 Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.  We will do our best to accommodate course schedules. Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.   Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Production, Creative Group: The Production group within NBCUniversal’s Creative team develops brand and marketing materials across the company’s portfolio. By bridging design, brand systems, and production, the team delivers polished, print-ready assets for events, internal communications, marketing, and broadcast, along with digital assets for distribution. As a production-focused Graphic Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience preparing real-world assets for print and digital distribution. You will adapt and refine designs for print production—modifying and expanding existing assets, organizing files, supporting logo development, and delivering press-ready materials. You’ll collaborate with designers, the production team, and cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality execution across projects. This internship offers the opportunity to learn print production best practices within a professional creative environment. While not a traditional design role, it sits within the NBCUniversal Creative group and provides valuable insight into how design systems operate at scale. Interns will build foundational skills in typography, file preparation, logo systems, and brand layout execution. You’ll also gain exposure to how design translates into physical production, including packaging, signage, large-format graphics, and event materials. With insight into paper selection, print methods, and color systems, you’ll work on real projects in a fast-paced media environment and develop a deeper understanding of how creative concepts move from idea to final output. Rockefeller Center Operations, Guest Experience (Marketing, Promotions & Merchandising): The Guest Experience Team oversees all Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and Social for the Shop and Tours, Tours, and Audience Operations. Our intern would be exposed to all areas of Merchandising and Marketing through projects promoting the Shop, product development, competitive shopping, Print marketing, Social campaigns, and photoshoots.
