Photographer/Editor, Telemundo Las Vegas

Telemundo Las Vegas is looking for a Photographer/Editor. As a Photographer/Editor, you will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including spot news and features. The ideal candidate will directly work with and report to Assignment Desk and works closely with Executive Producer and New Director. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The photographer will work closely with News operations, management, assignment, On-Air reporters and other newsroom personnel to gather high-quality and informative news stories. Through the creative use of the camera, and proficient lighting and editing skills, will provide the viewer with a story on a given topic. Will operate camera, technology equipment and edit on Adobe Premiere and other editing systems. Respond quickly to breaking news while taking direction and interacting with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room, and appropriate personnel. Shoot and edit high-quality video, interviews, and story packages Set up and operate microphones and monitor audio levels Set up and operate lighting equipment Perform work under pressure with multiple, daily deadlines Collaborate with field producer and correspondent on assignments Gather video and interviews independently as needed Troubleshoot technical issues in the field Understand and practice ethical journalism. Contribute to social media coverage Work on other station projects as assigned. Adhere to company safety and daily operational policies.
