Responsibilities The successful Assignment Editor candidate will be one who has strong news judgment and a vast and intricate knowledge of the Las Vegas DMA with the ability to lead and inspire a highly talented news staff to reach beyond established goals and who will perform these functions within the context of Company objectives, policies and procedures. This position will report directly to Executive Producer and News Director. Manage and recommend day-to-day news stories coverage, major events, sweeps and breaking news for the day’s newscasts.

Perform on-air Multimedia Journalist responsibilities for designated Telemundo Las Vegas - KBLR newscasts or program across KBLR’s multiple platforms Contribute story ideas for key series pieces for daily news program, digital & social media platforms Prepare and/or assemble, and present story content in a fair, accurate and unbiased manner Collaborate with news producers and managers to conceptualize, produce and present Telemundo Las Vegas KBLR news specials and packages based on either breaking or pre-planned stories Generate story ideas, research and set up the content and interview
