Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: News Group Portfolio & Program: News Group Portfolio & Program is well positioned during this time of change to offer a stable, enriching, hands-on studio environment here at 30R for our new talent to get quality mentorship and development towards retention. We are dedicated to our interns having a best-in-class NBCU experience and ownership of some of our most impactful LRP. For the News Social Media Content Creator Initiative, interns will partner with News Group Digital leadership and NBCU Talent to transform how we produce content for a new generation of viewers leveraging social media platforms and editorial tools to drive innovation and brand. In the VR/AR project, the intern will partner with a group of engineers to coordinate the design and schedule of this new product and develop an MVP model for Enterprise rollout across News Group O&T for $1.2M enabled savings per set. Interns will also learn tracking hardware installations of ~350 devices across 28 rooftop production control rooms and software upgrades for 10 key production software that will also require precise scheduling across station leadership, Denver Hub Operations, and Engineering to schedule change windows for upgrades and ensure change management is in place for ~2500 end-users.
