Sr. Financial Analyst, News Finance

The Senior Financial Analyst, NBC News will have operational finance responsibilities, focusing primarily on production cost management. Key responsibilities include pacing & monthly close, management reporting, and operational support for various production teams. This role reports into the Sr. Manager Finance, NBC News. Responsibilities Include: Support the preparation, analysis and reporting of operational expenses, including compensation and benefits, and variable production costs, for monthly pacing quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic initiatives Assist with monthly close process by preparing journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations. Lead regular cost tracking for production teams including maintenance of standard reporting packages, dashboards and other ad-hoc analysis Support management reporting across income, cash flow and balance sheet statements Manage headcount reporting in partnership with Human Resources Help to identify risks and opportunities Partner with operators to support day to day business needs, and serve as the primary finance contact for any corporate card and accounts payable issues Communicate results and metrics in a timely manner
