Freelance Video Operator - NBC Sports
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position. Engagement will be per event/assignment based upon business need. Employment can be amended or terminated as deliverables for the assignment are completed. As a Video Operator (V1), you will work under the direction of the Producer, Director, Technical Manager and/or other production or management representatives to provide images for the telecast. You will be able to work with the TM and maintenance engineers to assist with positive solutions regarding equipment malfunction or failure. The V1 shall have the ability to: Provide all CCU information to all departments involved with the telecast Provide and receive information from outside vendors regarding all cameras Assist with video feeds through CCU’s to execute camera and video cabling, connections and patching Maintain images to broadcast standards Operate other equipment and perform other services related to his/her job responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Work closely with Studio Director, Building Engineer to set camera look and shading for all cameras, both robotic and manned in coordination with the game script. Assist with the maintaining, cleaning and testing all equipment and cameras to ensure every tool is in good working order each day before event starts Participate in pre-event coordination planning meeting Ensure the safety of equipment at all times Respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of camera equipment, and apply safe work methods Provide support and assistance to other studio areas as needed Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned
