Manager, Finance

As a key member of the O&T (Operations & Technology) Finance team, the Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the budgeting, long-range planning (LRP), forecasting, expense management, headcount, capital, and allocation processes for the News Group O&T department. This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU operations through daily exposure/interaction with O&T operational teams as well as the greater NBCU finance organization. Some of the brands that we support are TODAY, NBC News Now, Nightly News, Meet the Press, etc. Position overview: Own monthly and quarterly close processes through accurate pacing updates, variance analysis, journal entries, expense accruals, allocations, and other necessary closing activities Create, enhance and maintain operating models for budgeting & tracking expenses Key contributor to the P&L planning processes for all estimates, budgets, and long-range plans (LRP) for Production operations Collaborate with operational stakeholders on KPIs and other ad hoc modeling Perform P&L analysis, i.e. identifying risks and opportunities and assisting in summarizing performance in pitch presentations to senior management for estimates & plans Track capital by integrating into operations teams to understand schedule and delivery Design and produce reporting packages with key metrics to support budget oversight and P&L tracking Maintain and support build out of various allocations, enhancing consistency and accuracy Partner with operations teams and participate in regular business meetings, operations analysis, and strategic projects to drive productivity Present financial results and insights to finance leadership & operations Review and approve purchase requisitions and invoices, ensuring proper accounting and budget allocation, support vendor onboarding and setup processes Process and analyze all the necessary reports in software tools including SAP, BW, Essbase, AOE, SNAP (AP tool), Purchase Manager (PO tool), and Concur (T&E)
