Develop and deliver original enterprise stories through strong sourcing, in-depth reporting and compelling, audience-focused storytelling Shoot, write and edit newsworthy events including breaking/spot news, general news, sports and feature stories relevant to Philadelphia and surrounding communities Gather, write and produce material in fair, accurate and balanced manner Field produce, conduct interviews and shoot stories Present stories live on air partnering with photographers and as a single person MMJ Respond quickly to breaking news, delivering accurate, clear and compelling live reports and timely updates across broadcast, digital and social platforms from studio and field locations Own and develop an assigned beat, building trusted sources and community relationships to break news, uncover exclusive stories and provide consistent follow-up coverage Active community involvement Create and deliver engaging, original content daily for the station’s social media platforms, mobile app and website, including platform-native video that connects with audiences and extends reporting beyond the newscast Work closely with Producers, News Managers and Assignment Editors, as well as Reporters and Anchors Develop and pitch distinctive, relevant story ideas that reflect the issues and interests of Philadelphia-area communities, both within the assigned beat and across daily news coverage
