Producer, NBC Chicago

NBC Universal Local Chicago is looking for an experienced and creative producer and booker to be a member of the Chicago Today Lifestyle Show team. This person should be able to collaborate with producers, hosts and photojournalists to create fun, informative and cohesive stories for a daily television show. Responsibilities: Work independently with guidance from the Executive Producer, the team and station management Source new ideas for show segments, pitch ideas and produce ideas from conception to a live show Find and book guests, following booking protocols Conduct pre-interviews of guests and based on their responses, script questions for use by Talent Write and produce full segments and shows Secure elements such as sound bites, video and pictures to support segments Edit interviews and broll for air Assist in clearing images/video for broadcast and coordinating our crew in accordance with local and state laws and adhering to labor union guidelines Create and maintain schedules and other in-place documentation for show organization Lead live control room execution of Chicago Today, managing rundown timing, editorial adjustments, and communication with directors, production staff, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of each broadcast Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
