WCAU/NBC10, NBCUniversal Local’s television station in Philadelphia, is looking for a Multiplatform Sports MMJ / Producer who can truly do it all - report, shoot, write, edit, produce, and create content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. This is a hybrid role, split between field reporting and in-house producing, ideal for a journalist who sees sports as more than highlights - someone who can tell compelling stories about the people, issues, and culture shaping sports in a major market. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced newsroom, embraces multi-platform storytelling, and brings a strong understanding of the Philadelphia sports landscape. This is a Thursday-Monday schedule, requiring flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events. Primary Responsibilities Generate and pitch original sports story ideas; research, schedule, and conduct interviews Report, write, shoot, and edit sports stories for broadcast, digital, and social platforms Produce sports content, including sportscasts, segments, and shows, under tight deadlines Cover live sporting events and breaking sports news with urgency and accuracy Deliver live reports and storytelling that is compelling, engaging, and authentic Create consistent digital and social content to expand reach and audience engagement Actively use social media as a reporting tool and platform to promote stories Build and maintain relationships with athletes, teams, and key community sources Follow ongoing stories and develop enterprise content beyond day-of coverage Work collaboratively across newsroom teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ensure all content complies with NBCUniversal standards, editorial guidelines, and journalistic ethics
