Production Manager
This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations by working closely with production teams, overseeing general operation of the office, managing day-to-day office logistics, supporting cross-functional collaboration and maintaining the necessary communication for show productivity. Responsibilities: General Production: Regularly partner and obtain respective approvals between Studio Executives, Production Operations, Finance and Human Resources. Manage with Production Supervisors all vendor agreements; show credentials; and any other administrative tasks that may arise. Oversee, manage and book crew for studio crew and remote crew Establish rates and approval of timecards for below the line show staff and crew Facilitate all trucking and delivery of show props, wardrobe and technical gear as needed. Work with vendors on costs and orders weekly/monthly. Coordinate backline and stage design with Music Department for House band and musical guest band. Work with show lawyers and standards on all script related issues Knowledge of music clearance as it related to Live Television Manage and oversee studio schedule Manage and produce promos and pretapes in studio. Travel: Work with Production Supervisor and Supervising Producer on Approval of all show travel, including hotel, car, airline, etc. reservations. Talent/Casting Contracts: Supervise as needed with producers and production all talent contracts each week, including host, musical guest, dancers, stunts, puppeteers, singers, stand-ins and extras. Act as main point of contact in obtaining Executive leadership approval if/when show staff appear on-air for the show. Cost Management: Reconcile travel and production office P-card/cachet charges; ensure accurate financial reporting. Audit car and meal charges against the Company’s policy to ensure compliance and enforcement of rules Serve as an approver for P-card and cachet purchases, ensuring compliance with Supervising Producer/ Track show costs to ensure accurate reporting for the Supervising Producer and Accounting teams. Oversee Timecards, accounts payable, petty cash, and purchase cards. Provide regular updates on cost performance against budget with Supervising Producer. Flag and escalate irregular and/or suspicious spending, as necessary.
