NBC News NOW is launching a new live two-hour show airing 10a–noon, and we’re building a dynamic, collaborative team to define its pace, tone, and editorial ambition from day one. We’re looking for a Line Producer who thrives in the control room, knows how to build and adjust a smart rundown in real time, and can lead a live broadcast with clarity and authority. This is a hands-on role for a journalist who understands the rhythm of live news, moves decisively when breaking stories develop, and holds the line on accuracy and standards under pressure. What You’ll Do: Build, refine, and execute daily rundowns for a live two-hour broadcast Lead the control room during live shows, making real-time editorial decisions as news evolves Collaborate with Producers, Senior Producers, Anchors, and the Executive Producer to ensure strong editorial framing and flow Approve and copy edit scripts with an eye for tone, clarity, and accuracy Write headlines, teases, and breaking news copy as needed Work closely with Directors to block and time the show Adjust the rundown quickly and decisively when breaking news hits Ensure all elements — video, graphics, banners, and scripts — meet NBC News standards Communicate clearly with talent, correspondents, and control room staff to keep the show moving seamlessly
