Audio Engineer/A1
NBC Universal has an opening for an Audio Engineer supporting NBC News Now. The Audio Engineer will prepare show audio requirements and operate equipment to integrate audio sources and create a full program mix for air. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Director, technical and production staff to plan audio requirements for multi-camera television productions • Offer technical and creative audio solutions to create a high quality mix for air • Prepare audio operations technical infrastructure details for assigned shows • Test and prepare television audio operations systems and equipment for use • Rehearse and lead the audio plan for assigned shows and events • Program production communications intercom system for studio and remote locations • Prepare music and sound effects for air • Handle mic and IFB patching and routing for studio shows • Coordinate and prepare talent mics and mix-minus for studio and remote locations with the control room Tech Manager and Audio Assistant(s)/A2(s) • Mix multiple audio sources: studio and remote microphones, music and sound effects • Work closely with management and Engineering to ensure all audio and comms equipment is meeting clients expectations • Provide audio coverage as lead (A1) or assist (A2) Audio as assigned • Responsible for compliance with all applicable company policies
