Summary: This position is on the Business & Legal Affairs (B&LA) team responsible for providing business and legal support for UP&E. UP&E B&LA handles the licensing of NBCUniversal film and television properties for merchandising, publishing, video games, digital and interactive uses, and commercial tie-ins/promotions.

As a member of the CNBC.com copy desk, the copy editor is the last line of defense to ensure that our articles are of the highest quality possible. Whether it’s a long feature or a short breaking news bulletin, we will look to the copy editor to make sure our news coverage is free of errors and typos and has proper context, balance, consistency and clarity. The copy editor plays an essential part in producing compelling coverage that helps to expand our growing readership.

Gathering information. Shoot, write and edit newsworthy events including breaking/spot news, general news and feature stories relevant to the South Florida community. Collaborate with line producers, reporters and anchors to gather elements and assist in the production of news stories and interview segments. Collaborate with the Assignment Desk, Producers and Reporters to research news segments and place on appropriate platform. Use desktop editing systems to edit video including breaking news.
