Designer/Illustrator, MSNBC Digital

MSNOW Digital is looking for a highly motivated and qualified designer to join our art and photo department. This position will work closely with our art director, photo editors, and editors to visualize our stories and build our brand on MS.NOW. The ideal candidate is an imaginative thinker who thrives in high-pressure situations and finds extreme satisfaction in finding new ways to tell stories. They must manage and deliver high quality visuals on tight deadlines. Organization, communication, and speed are paramount. This position is based in NY. Responsibilities: Design, execute, and deliver still and animated graphics within required deadlines. Work closely with digital editorial teams to meet deadlines and fulfill requests Present creative solutions to editorial needs across all digital platforms Create reported graphics that help further our reporting, as well as helping to build our styles and guidance for reported graphics Storyboard and present conceptual designs to the art director, as well as editorial partners across the the site and all digital platforms Collaborate with the art director and editors on daily visuals as well as long-term project initiatives
