Line Producer, Breaking News Specials & Early Today (Weekend Overnights)

The NBC News Breaking News Specials team is seeking a skilled Line Producer to help lead the control room during overnight breaking news coverage on weekends and support Early Today weekdays. You’ll work closely with the Senior Producer to ensure all production elements are in place for seamless live broadcasts during major news events. Responsibilities: Build and manage rundowns, ensuring all segments, graphics, and video elements are ready for air Help coordinate field teams, booking and live remotes during major breaking news Serve as a primary editorial/control room contact during weekend overnights Collaborate with Senior Producers and the Specials team to anticipate resources needed for major-event coverage Troubleshoot technical or logistical issues in real time to minimize on-air disruptions Partner with technical, graphics, audio, and talent departments to maintain top-tier production quality Produce live cut-ins, special segments, and additional content as needed Mentor and guide Production Assistants and Associate Producers
