Manager, Content Acquisitions

The Position The Manager, Content Acquisitions role will be responsible for inventory management, tracking deals, communicating to internal stakeholders, and evaluating series & film for Versant’s cable networks: USA, SYFY, E! and Oxygen. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to pivot at a moment's notice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Work closely with the programming, marketing, operations, finance, research and legal teams to manage content inventory and communicate deal details Prepare offer templates and financial documents for initial movie deal selections Evaluate performance of inventory to aid in analysis of future acquisitions and renewals Work with IT / Business Intelligence on the development of content planning tools and reporting capabilities Identify potential acquisitions via synopses, scripts, trailers, trade articles, screeners, and finished product Prepare decks for presentation by senior executives Assist in review of large-scale content deals to ensure accuracy of content details Screen movies and series and provide feedback on potential fit for the portfolio Responsible for managing a Content Acquisitions Coordinator
