Researcher, TODAY (Contract)

As a Researcher you will aid in the production of the daily broadcast. You will work directly with the editorial teams of the 3rd Hour of TODAY and TODAY broadcast. PLEASE NOTE: This is a short term position with an estimated duration of 12 months or less, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.  Job Duties: Gathering elements for live segments and identifying the best editorial content Working with an editor Pitch story ideas Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and on team projects Strong awareness of NBC News programs, talent, policies, guidelines and practices Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of management and talent Flexible, organized, self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented – able to seek out answers and resources on own PTO coverage for other positions as needed
