Associate Video Editor, TODAY Digital

We’re looking for a talented, versatile and highly organized Associate Video Editor to join our team. This role will work closely with producers, editors and other members of the TODAY and NBC News teams to edit, organize and deliver video content across TODAY’s digital, streaming and social platforms. This position is represented by the News Guild – NY CWA. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with producers and editors from TODAY Digital on the acquisition, selection, editing, publishing and distribution of live and on-demand video content. Monitor incoming feeds of NBC broadcasts to clip, edit and publish video from the TODAY broadcast for digital and streaming platforms. Set up and organize video projects, including: Ingesting and organizing media and project assets Syncing multiple cameras and audio sources Pulling selects and creating stringouts Assembling rough cuts Selecting music and other creative elements as needed Maintain organized project files and manage media and metadata on production servers. Work closely with producers to traffic broadcast deliverables, social deliverables, audio deliverables, and more to ensure projects are accurate, properly formatted and delivered on deadline. Work with producers to shape edits, incorporate feedback and take projects from initial assembly through final delivery. Wrap completed projects and prepare files and media for archive. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced news and production environment.
