Global Streaming Product Team Our team is the core engine that creates streaming products which delight customers around the world, from sub-Saharan Africa to the streets of New York: we work closely with our design, technology and business teams to create an unforgettable experience for our customers. We’re the problem solvers who find smarter and simpler ways to connect customers to more of what they love. We are currently building a Global Streaming Product team, who will steer our core global product to serve the business needs of each proposition (Peacock, NOW, Sky Showtime and Showmax). Commerce Product Design Team The focus of this team is on the experience of the end user who starts out as a prospect, and has an interest in purchasing a subscription. The journey continues through possible offers, and then to the purchase journey. The Commerce Product Design Team also cares for the UX of the user who wants to upgrade, downgrade, or wants to cancel their subscription. As a Principal of Product Design of Commerce- U&C you will report into the Senior Director of Product Design of Commerce- U&C. You will mentor, conceive, define, design, develop, test, and launch vivid and compelling experiences that are contextually relevant, exceedingly useful, and will drive results. What we’re looking for in a candidate: You provide creative thought leadership and drive UX design solutions by combining industry best practices with your own expertise and insight about human behavior. You are a seasoned design leader with relentlessly high standards, and deep operational knowledge and expertise in every aspect of UX and product design. You lead design teams in ideation, work with product and engineering to refine design deliverables, and are involved in the project through launch. You partner with Product Management, Engineering, and other internal partners to define the strategy & experience of consumer-facing products. You are thoughtful and like to learn. You are fully versed in consumer digital product best practices, technologies, and tools. You have the desire to ground everything with data and/or listen to the voice of the consumer. You identify the most impactful concepts and push them through a rigorous course of critical evaluation, execution, implementation, experimentation, success—or failure. You are a mature & strong communicator and presenter—able to articulate your point-of-view and engage in fact-based discourse. Partner cross collaboratively with senior product and business leaders including the Executive team on strategy and execution. You are scrappy—focused, driven, and the natural owner of both big ideas and practical daily output. You are not just eager to get to the finish-line but eager to bring others with you to that finish-line. You feel most at home in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment. What you will be doing: Deliver end-to-end designs for high-value, consumer-centric digital products. Translate requirements to flows that can leverage existing flows and/or establish new flows. Grow the fidelity of the designs and care for the edge cases, and the nuances of the experience across various devices. Work with and mentor more junior product designers Work with foundational leads, such as— UX research, UX engineer, UX design systems lead, and also UX content design/UX writer Present designs to all audiences. Formulate and communicate ideas and plans to peers, leadership, and engineering contributors. Balance inputs from business, design, research, technology, and external partners. Create a network of cross-functional partners. Build rapport and earn trust. Collaborate with product owners and engineers to successfully deliver products to market. Lead others. Grow talent. Provide creative direction and mentorship to designers and define patterns and practices for the team and the product. Provide updates to leadership and address blockers for the team. An ambassador to a healthy and collaborative culture for our product organization.
