Manager, Strategic Process

We embrace authenticity and inspire people to thrive. We are seeking a proactive and strategic thinker to manage headcount planning and vendor operations as the Manager, Strategic Process. Partnering with VP-level stakeholders, as well as HR and Finance, you will develop and manage reporting around headcount and future workforce needs. You'll handle vendor management for software and resource vendors, including setup, contract processing, and invoice approvals. You'll also track spending, report on actuals and forecasts, and recommend budget adjustments. This role involves partnering across teams and requires effective time management to avoid delays. You'll report to the Director of Internal Strategic Engagement & Process as part of the Video Engineering organization. You bring engineering or engineering-adjacent credibility that you will leverage to define technical requirements for software agreement reviews and discussion, a calm and organized presence, and excellent written and verbal communication. You’ll also oversee the vendor management team, initially evolving our approach to budget tracking, vendor intake, and onboarding for software and resources. Responsibilities: Tracking Financials: Develop and manage tracking for all workforce spend including vendor contracts, team engagement, and travel. Report on actuals and forecasts, identify potential overspend, and make budget recommendations. Managing Vendors: Vet vendors with Procurement and Legal teams, set up vendors in internal systems, process contracts and renewals, coordinate contract signatures, invoice approvals, and payments. Occasional negotiations required. Improving Processes: Develop and document processes for effective program management to support our workforce in the headcount and vendor space. Managing Risk: Assess cross-project risks and actively mitigate them through VP-level stakeholder partnerships. Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur. Handling Communication: Improve communication channels between teams. Be an exemplary model for optimism, bringing solutions to surfaced problems, and coaching others to do the same. Maintaining Independence and Accountability: Operate independently, take responsibility for decisions affecting the team, and make choices that advance the organization. Managing People: Support and grow a global team through shared capacity planning across time zones, soft skills development, and documentation between separate HRIS. Desired Competencies: Passion for organization and an obsessive eye for detail. Ability to evolve or develop and implement processes that scale. Experience in developing frameworks and conducting strategic analysis. Ability to assess cross-project risks and actively mitigate them. Ability to operate independently and be accountable to the team. Openness to work across a global team in various time zones. Working in a fast-paced environment and pivot as need. Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (Legal, Procurement, Finance, and other leaders across our Engineering teams). Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills that allow for influencing and building consensus among stakeholders. Internet in relevant news and advancements in the video engineering space and AI.
