The Position The Vice President, News, will serve as a media lawyer to the Versant News Group properties (MSNBC, CNBC and E! News), primarily on issues of newsgathering, broadcast and publication, and intellectual property. This is a unique opportunity to help build the news legal function for a newly formed media company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of analytics-driven data products, media consumption behaviors, and a deep background in product management and leadership within the media industry.

The Vice President will serve as an integral business partner in the operational accounting aspects of the SpinCo TV Networks’ business units. The Vice President reports to the Chief Accounting Officer, SpinCo and acts as a key advisor to finance leadership on all accounting matters. This role partners with business unit counterparts on all operational accounting processes, monthly and quarterly close coordination, reporting and the assessment and validation of internal control activities.
