This role is responsible for overseeing the daily editorial vision, production quality, and execution of our newscasts across multiple platforms. NBC 6 South Florida is looking for a content producer for our multiplatform duopoly newsroom. This content producer will work with producers, reporters, anchors and the desk to gather elements and assist in the production of newscasts, news stories and special segments. Gather, produce, write, update and edit video news content for our streaming, linear and other platforms. Consume and be up-to-date on daily news events, be aware of past events, and understand news in the fast-paced South Florida market.

Responsibilities The successful Assignment Editor candidate will be one who has strong news judgment and a vast and intricate knowledge of the Las Vegas DMA with the ability to lead and inspire a highly talented news staff to reach beyond established goals and who will perform these functions within the context of Company objectives, policies and procedures. This position will report directly to Executive Producer and News Director. Manage and recommend day-to-day news stories coverage, major events, sweeps and breaking news for the day’s newscasts.
