Job Summary The Senior Manager, External Affairs is responsible for shaping and executing strategies that strengthen Universal Studios Hollywood operations and reputation in California. This role serves as the Theme Parks primary on-the-ground external affairs leader by driving proactive engagement with key stakeholders including local and state elected officials, government agencies (City, County and State) and industry associations.

A successful candidate will be a key part of the Workforce Planning and Analysis team within the Universal Studios Hollywood Finance organization. They will have broad visibility and exposure to all departments of the park and to senior leadership as part of this important business priority. Specifically, the role will play a lead role in the Labor Forecasting (roster/hiring planning) process and bring data analysis and reporting capability broadly to operations management and to the Labor Support team.

As part of the Security Operations Team, this position plays a key role in helping maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment across CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood by planning, organizing and directing crime prevention operations throughout our iconic Theme Park destination. Promptly resolve security issues that involve entities associated with Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) and CityWalk.

The Sous Chef – Margaritaville, will be responsible for directing, managing and successfully operating a high volume branded concept on CityWalk. As Sous Chef, the position will be a primary “go-to” for the kitchen team and responsible for the functions and flow of the back of the house. The Sous Chef is responsible for ensuring that the food served always meets or exceeds standards of excellence. While this position will report to the Restaurant Chef, this position is responsible for setting the expectations for all kitchen team members to maximize productivity.

Role Summary The Sous Chef R&D works with R&D Chefs to research new food products and assists in implementation of design and themed food concepts or items throughout the resort and UDX. Formulates and tests new products, research suppliers and other food and beverage industries.
