NBCUniversal is seeking a Production Design Engineer based in New York who brings deep technical expertise and strong cross-team leadership. This role is responsible for conceiving, designing, and delivering scalable broadcast systems from the ground up, while also supporting reliability and operations as needed to ensure long-term system performance.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support for existing and new theme park attractions (rides and shows). Duties include complex downtime investigation and troubleshooting of ongoing issues, reverse engineering and redesign, and other engineering tasks as required to ensure daily operational readiness of attractions. Additional duties include complex re-design and development efforts for mechanical / structural systems of theme park rides and attractions to provide increased reliability and operational improvements.

We’re looking for a Broadcast Engineer who thrives at the intersection of broadcast and IT — someone who understands that in 2025, reliability means software-defined signal flow, IP networks, and an engineer’s intuition for when something “just doesn’t look right.” As a Production Reliability Engineer, you’ll help ensure the continuous operation of our live production, routing, and playout systems across both baseband and SMPTE 2110 IP environments. You’ll be part of the team that designs, maintains, and evolves complex infrastructure supporting 24/7 broadcast operations for NBC.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES   Manages in-field installation, test and adjustment of scenic systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Provides technical management, inclusive of budget and schedule, for a singular contract or scope of work. Responsible for supporting or managing the successful specification, bid/award, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of Ride and/or Show systems, to include Ride Control, or Show Control Systems. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES    Assists in managing or manages vendors through the process of bidding, designing, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start up, and commissioning of ride or show control systems.
