Assignment Desk Editor, NBC & Telemundo Miami

NBC6 and Telemundo 51, the NBCUniversal Local stations serving South Florida, are looking for a journalist to serve as an Assignment Editor in our duopoly’s multiplatform newsroom. You will be responsible for facilitating newsgathering and coordinating comprehensive coverage of news stories. Job Responsibilities: Help coordinate interviews and logistics for field crews. Know story coverage plans for field crews including the platforms where the story will appear. Maintain contact with law enforcement, fire and other agencies to determine coverage of daily and breaking news.
