The Supervisor, Entertainment Costume Operations is responsible assisting the Entertainment Costume Operations Manager with the daily supervisory leadership of the front line employees with a key focus on the daily operation of the Entertainment Costume Department. Oversee the daily operations of the Costume Areas; including monitoring staff and ensuring that all standard operating procedures are maintained. Coach, monitor and track the hourly staff’s work processes. Instruct and monitor costume staff in required daily techniques and procedures.

Working with the Technical branch of Entertainment Production, this supervisor will support the technical direction team on the management and execution of temporary guest attractions as part of the Halloween Horror Nights event. Support the maintenance of design integrity across all disciplines. Identify conflicts between design and construction plans and facilitate resolution/communication with all stakeholders.

The Associate Production Designer – Project Hire works under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Manager, and/or Production Designer and helps deliver designs (environment, scenic, set dressing, props, costume, etc.) for varying Entertainment projects including, Live shows, Marquee & Shoulder Events, Seasonal Atmosphere, Character Photo Ops, Symphony Activations, and Placemaking efforts. Works with the Production Designers developing concepts via sketches, storyboards, and photo studies to communicate preliminary design ideas.

Working in a collaborative production team environment, this role is responsible for expediting all aspects of technical design/drafting along with show production support and staff oversight. This will include design, development, fabrication/installation oversight, facility interface, operation, maintenance, and documentation in compliance with codes, and jurisdictional requirements for Entertainment projects.

Work with the Show Director and/or Creative Director to support the generation of visuals via sketches, storyboards, photo studies, and referential concept renderings to communicate preliminary design ideas for pitch presentation packets and distribution amongst other project stakeholders and partners. Compilation of the production design packets to convey the full scope of work through conceptual renderings, groundplans, elevations, color elevations, material and finish specifications, fabrication method suggestions, references, documentation, notes, and callouts.

The Universal Studios Hollywood Entertainment Lighting & Electrics team serves as the primary lighting project management and design group for all Entertainment projects. This team supports and interfaces with other Entertainment groups, including Creative, Production Design, Technical Design, Special Effects, Audio & Video, Show Control, and more to ensure successful creative and technical execution of all lighting and show power elements throughout the year.
