OVERVIEW This key role will be responsible for supporting the financial operation for the CNBC Non-TV businesses (Direct to Consumer, Digital Publishing, Events, Councils, Audio, and Select). This role will partner with senior leaders to execute the day to day priorities, lead various special projects, and be a thought partner for these high profile businesses.

OVERVIEW This key role leads the finance support for the core programming of CNBC, the world leader in business news. This role is responsible for building strategic partnerships with editorial leadership to address day to day priorities and to drive conversations on new ideas. There will be significant collaboration with HR and finance peers to build informed financial plans and to lead key initiatives.

Job Summary We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Risk Manager to preserve the company’s assets by identifying potential risks and making sure they’re properly insured, transferred, or managed internally. You’ll be the go-to expert on risk management, offering guidance across the business and working closely with teams around the world. This role also involves building strong relationships with brokers, legal teams, and other partners, while shaping and maintaining our risk management policies and procedures.

The Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the company’s accounting policy function as a key leader in Chief Accounting Officer organization.

Oversee the controllership activities for TV Networks revenues and non-programming expenses. Oversee that all transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls. Partner as trusted advisor to the TV Networks finance organization on issues concerning reporting and controls, and assist with the formulation of financial and operational policy matters. Participate in monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial information.

Responsible for key operational controllership processes related to participations and residuals, including production of participant statements, ensuring timely processing of payments, establishing and reviewing reserves and management of the audit process. Work closely with TV Networks operational finance and legal to ensure clear understanding of contractual requirements and relevant production and monetization activities. Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure all necessary required adjustments and true ups are reflected in the ledger accurately and timely.

Responsible for the controllership activities for licensed and acquired TV Networks programming and production costs. Oversee that all transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls. Key member of the TV Networks controllership team in support of finance organization on issues concerning reporting and controls. Participate in monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial information.
