They must have a “yes-and” approach to brainstorming, collaborating and learning. Cover New Mexico and regional news across digital platforms (web, app, social media, push alerts, video, streaming). Report breaking news from the digital desk: verify social content, make calls, and collaborate with field reporters. Apply SEO best practices and leverage tools like Google Trends to optimize content. Write, edit, and publish stories in both English and Spanish when needed. Create multimedia content (video clips, live streams, slideshows) to enhance coverage. Manage publishing workflows for text, images, and video. Coordinate with news producers for cross-promotion on-air and online. Monitor audience trends and adjust content strategy accordingly.
