HR Manager, UPI EMEA & UPCG
The HR Manager is a true business partner to the NBCUniversal businesses. This role drives the local HR agenda with both a people centric and commercial mindset, aimed at driving the business forward. All aspects of the employee life cycle are touched upon and the best employee experience is pursued. The incumbent will interpret and provide input against needs to identify, plan and deliver critical initiatives to align with business and HR strategies. To be successful in the role it is essential to establish strong and trusted partnerships with business leaders, HR leaders and centralized specialist functions. This role will support our film businesses, namely Universal Pictures International (UPI) and Universal Pictures Content Group (UPCG), with employees based across EMEA, the UK and Ireland, and a small number in the US. The role will report to the HR Director, UPI EMEA & UPCG. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Generalist Responsibilities: Provide expertise, with the ability to act strategically and operationally across all HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and reward, employee engagement and organisational design and change. Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as an approachable and fair subject matter expert, and balancing business needs with employee needs. Be an effective Business Partner, acting as a sounding board and change agent to drive and implement desired behavioural and organisational changes. Advise leadership teams during annual budget cycle on overhead impact (i.e. costs for HC, recruitment, promotions, market adjustments etc.). In partnership with the HR Director, responsible for preparing and delivering annual people plans in alignment with business goals and HR global strategy. Leading on HR projects, where required. Lead on ensuring compliance to our Respect in the Workplace practice & policy. Lead local talent management programs including the Talent Review and Performance feedback process, by coaching managers, providing advice and support whilst contributing to building a culture of continuous development and feedback. Partner with the Inclusion, Talent and Development team on projects and programmes related to the Film Group. Partner with the Talent Team on sourcing and hiring the best talent; driving and supporting the recruiting, testing, and interviewing processes. Implement C&B initiatives and lead the implementation of the annual salary review process in line with guidelines and in connection with performance. Analyse training needs against business strategy and employee skill gaps, defining initiatives and ensuring their delivery.
